Medical equipment and ambulance donated to Noklak district hospital

NOKLAK, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): Medical equipment and consumables worth Rs 50 lakhs donated by EKAM for District Hospital Noklak was handed over to Health Minister, Pangnyu Phom on October 22 at his office chambers in the Nagaland Civil Secretariat, Kohima.

The Minister also received an ambulance equipped with the latest medical technology, donated by Santhi Medical Information Center, on behalf of the Department, informed a report from the DIPR. The ambulance will act as a Mobile Medical Unit for Noklak.

Addressing the programme, Phom thanked both EKAM and Santhi Medical Information Center for their generous contribution towards the people of Nagaland in particular and Noklak in general and stated that it was a joyous occasion for all.

He appreciated Joint Secretary Home, Reny Wilfred for taking the effort in connecting the NGOs with the State of Nagaland. He also sought support of the people in keeping and making proper use of the medical equipment.

Others who spoke during the programme included Advisor for Printing & Stationary, H Haiying; Advisor for Economics & Statistics, L Khumo; DC Noklak; Joint Secretary Home and representatives from the Medical Department and the two NGOs.
