Medumneo festival celebrated in Chessore

Guest with organizers and others during the celebration of Medumneo festival organized by Chessore Town GBs Union with Chessore Town Students Union. 
 

Tuensang, August 8 (MExN): Chessore Town GBs Union along with Chessore Town Students Union celebrated Medumneo festival with K Keyoungkhum Capf, Advisor cum YAA Vice President as chief guest and Ramji, Chessore Village Development Board Chairman as the special guest. 

Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest stressed on the importance of uniqueness of the rich cultural heritage of Naga and its importance in context with alienation of western culture by today's youngsters.  He expounded on importance of preserving culture with policies of the state government such as introducing the Naga Heritage Education at elementary level and hosting the annual Hornbill festival. 

The guest speaker also delivered a short speech. Tradition presentations were performed by CAPF Sholunberu Cultural Club, Loyimso Cultural Club and tradition games by CTSU.
