Medziphema, September 24 (MExN): The St. Francis De Sales Higher Secondary School (HSS) and King David HSS today settled for a 1-1 draw, while Rivenburgh School displayed a dominating performance on the second day of the ongoing Inter-School Football Tournament in Medziphema.
The match between SFS and King David was closely contested, with both teams converting their goals from penalties. The second match, however, was a one-sided affair, with Rivenburgh School securing a resounding 5-1 victory over Modern Christian School. Viputo and Papua Mech each scored two goals for Rivenburgh, while Thangngaisang contributed one. MCS’s solitary goal came from the boot of Akivito.
The 8th edition of the Inter-School Football Tournament is being organised by the Medziphema Town Students’ Union under the theme “Unity Makes Victory” at the Local Ground, Medziphema. A total of 10 teams are competing for the trophy in two categories: High School and Higher Secondary.
