Dimapur, March 31 (MExN): The water supply to Medziphema Town has been cut off since past two weeks, and the Departmental staff has been working around the clock but could not restore water supply to the Town dwellers.
A press note issued by Er. P Khetoi Awomi, executive Engineer (PHED), Rural Division, Dimapur notified that the water supply disruption has occurred, owing to main pipe line 150mm dia. G.I pipe ‘crossing its life span’, and also breaking of pipe in many places due to rusting and decay.
The Department stated that it cannot repair the main pipe line anymore unless it is replaced by new pipe, and the Town dwellers are therefore, required to bear the inconvenience, as steps has been taken up to replace the old pipe line within this year.
