KOHIMA, MARCH 28 (DIPR): A meeting for Livability Standards is scheduled to be held at the Chief Secretary's Conference Hall, Kohima on April 4 at 11:00am.
The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs had launched the Livability Standards for Indian Cities on June 23, 2017 to build a mature data ecosystem, which States and Cities can leverage as an instrument for urban planning and management. The Ministry engaged a consortium for assessment of livability indices in 116 cities. The consortium appointed State Level Coordinators to conduct State and city level workshops to collect data & information. In Nagaland 1 city i.e. Kohima was selected for livability assessment.
AHoDs & HoDs of the following Departments/organizations have been requested to make it convenient to attend the kick-off meeting without fail. The departments include: Urban Development, Municipal Affairs, Finance, Public Health Engineering, Transport, Power, Nagaland Electricity Commission, Health & Family Welfare, School Education, Higher & Technical Education, Youth Resources & Sports, Works & Housing, Forest, Taxes, Home, State Disaster Management Authority, Pollution Control Board, New & Renewable Energy, Kohima Smart City Dev. Limited, Kohima Municipal Council, and Development Authority Nagaland.
For preliminary exercise all concerned departments have been requested to come with available required data. A Nodal Officer from each concerned Department is required to be nominated and also to attend the workshop.
