Dimapur, May 17 (DIPR): In connection with the ongoing National Electoral Roll Purification (NERP) exercise, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Dimapur held a meeting with administrative officers, representatives of recognized political parties, GBs, and colony/ward council chairmen in Dimapur at DC conference hall on May 16. Deputy Commissioner, Kesonyu Yhome briefed about the duties and functions of BLOs and asked to report to him if there are any BLOs not performing their duties properly. Stating that revision of electoral roll is a continuous process, he said addition to electoral roll can be done any time when a person attains the eligible age through proper channel. The DC further sought support and suggestions for clean electoral roll from the gathering. He also advised the ward chairmen to use the authority given to them with responsibility and suggested to mention the purpose while issuing any certificate. Inclusion of genuine voters, multiple entries, correction of voter ID's were the main issues discussed during the meeting.
