AKM executive meeting
The 6th AKM executive meeting will be held on December 14 at AKM Conference Hall in Mokokchung. Therefore, all the tribunals, seniors and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting without fail.
NASU 44th biennial general conference
The Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) will hold its 44th biennial general conference from December 16 to 18 at Rüsoma village under the theme ‘Innovate, Integrate and Motivate.’ Minister for Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire will be the chief guest. Neilasa Sopfü, DIG, Fire & Emergency, Nagaland will be the guest of honour. The conference speakers are Theja-o Vihienuo, Mission Director RMSA, Dr. Kezhalezo Angami, and Neisakuolie Mere Kesiyie, pastor, Central Baptist Church Kohima.
KMC pre-Christmas
The Kohima Municipal Council pre-Christmas cum annual ward/shop felicitation programme will be held on December 15 from 1:00 pm at KMC conference hall, Kohima. Khrienuo C. Metha, Commissioner & Secretary, Home Department (RR & NSDMA) will be the chief guest. A press note from KMC Administrator, Kovi Meyase has requested all the wards to be present. Unlike previous years, no awards will be given if wards are not present in the function, it added.
Phekmi Welfare Union Kohima session
The 8th general session cum picnic 2016 of the Phekmi Welfare Union, Kohima (PWUK) will take place on December 13, 10.30 am at Zogazou, Tsiesema Basa, near 5 Sector, Assam Rifles. Vezuhu Keyho, principal, Capital College of Higher Education will be the guest speaker. PWUK general secretary Kuvehu Soho has invited all its members, students, in-laws and well wishers to be part of this programme. Bus service will be provided by the union at the following points. Mohonkhola junction at 9:00 am, PHQ junction – 9:15 am, PWD Traffic junction – 9:20 am, Old MLA hostel junction – 9:25 am, Kezieke (Tata Parking) – 9:30 am, Pezielietse (Tinpati junction) – 9:35 am and High School junction – 9:40 am.

The ANDMSA, Zunheboto unit has convened an emergency meeting on December 14, 11:00 am at DC conference hall, Zunheboto. All departments have been requested to send at least 2 representatives to the meeting without fail.
Awareness prog on ICDS
The Department of Social Welfare is organising a community awareness programme on Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) scheme at Town Hall, Bhandari Town on December 16, 12:00 noon headed by Jt. Director and State Programme Officer, Social Welfare. Bonathung Ngullie, Child Development Project Officer, Bhandari has invited all village council chaimen, GBs, VDB secretaries and woman representative from villages covered by ICDS Anganwadi scheme under Bhandari project to attend the programme.
Prayer fellowship for revival of the Nagas
The Jericho Prayer Ministries in association with Kohima Town Area Prayer Groups is organizing three-day prayer fellowship for revival of the Nagas (The Lord’s programme) from December 16 to 18 at Nagamese Church, Nagabazar, Kohima. The speakers of the fellowship will be Rev. Dr. D.L. Sanchu executive secretary, ACRCC Kohima, Rokozelie Pienyu, president, House of Prayer Ministry Kohima, Gloria Pienyu, founder, Jericho Prayer Ministries Kohima, and Lasao Kath, founder, Nazareth Prayer & Healing Centre, Kandinu.
DBC platinum jubilee
The platinum jubilee celebration of Dzülhami Baptist Church (DBC) will be held from December 17–18 at Dzülhami Baptist Church. The main speakers for the event are Rev. Dr. Zelhou Keyho, general secretary, Nagaland Baptist Church Council, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo, executive secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, and Rev. Khrütsoyi Lürüo, president, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council. The DBC has extended invitation to everyone, including Dzülhami in-laws.
