Meluri holds DPDB first meeting

Meluri, May 28 (MExN): The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB), Meluri convened its first meeting at DB’s Court, Meluri on May 27. 

As per the DIPR report, the meeting was chaired by Z Nyusietho Nyuthe, MLA & Advisor, New & Renewable Energy (N&RE) and Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Government of Nagaland, and Chairman of DPDB Meluri.

In his opening remarks, Nyuthe extended a warm welcome to all the members of the newly constituted DPDB and appreciated their presence. He emphasised the significance of collective responsibility in the successful functioning of the Board and appealed to all members to ensure regular attendance and active participation in future meetings.

Among the key agendas discussed during the meeting, the proposal for setting up a Model College at Meluri District Headquarters and the request for Grant-in-Aid for Shilloi Mission School, Weziho were taken up for consideration and recommendation.

The Board also acknowledged and felicitated Yasmin Begam Laskar for securing a position in the Top-20 rank holders in the recently declared HSLC Examination 2025 results. As a mark of encouragement and appreciation, she was presented with a citation and a cash reward in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement.
