DIMAPUR, JUNE 7 (MExN): Zapuvisie Lhousa, Former Raju Peyu, FGN and Kevimeru Savino, Former Secretary FGN has in a corrigendum today clarified that Khrisanisa Seyietsu, the first Kedahge (President) of the Federal Government of Nagaland served as the Kedahge from July 12, 1956 to February 12, 1959 and not as mentioned in the Golden Jubilee 2006, ‘Souvenir’ i.e. during 1956 and 1957. After the formation of FGN on March 22, 1956, Khrisanisa was elected as the Kedahge in a Mass Naga Conference at Sanis; Lotha Region on 12 July, 1956 stated the corrigendum. Late Khrisanisa who persistently led the Naga Sovereignty Movement resigned from the post of Kedahge on February 12, 1959 owing to domestic hardship stated the release.
Stating that the date is historically incorrect, Zapuvisie Lhousa, Former Raju Peyu, FGN and Kevimeru Savino, Former Secretary FGN has asked the concerned person (s) to rectify the error and make the Nagas known the truth at an early date. They further added that the corrigendum was to safe guard the precise Naga history and not to project leadership.
