Dr Senkalong Yaden
Mokokchung, March 15 (MExN): The Merangkong Medemsanger Putu has mourned the demise of Dr Senkalong Yaden ‘Man of Science’ of the United States of America, son of late Takojungba from Merangkong Village.
“A humble and down to earth person who rose from humbleness to greatness by dint of his hard work and belief; A visionary, who set his vision and set forth to achieve it all by himself through self-sacrifice, hard work and his unwavering belief in Almighty God,” Merangkong Medemsanger Putu stated in its press note.
‘He was a man of numerous achievements and among his honours included Invitation to Membership in the International Platform Association 1994; Who's Who in America 1994 & 1997; and Who's Who Among Americans' Teachers 1996, etc,’ it added.
The press note also stated that late Dr Senka also served as Peace Mission Volunteer, Peace Camp Chedema 1966-67.
“Wherever he has lived, he was a true son of the soil of Merangkong, who brought laurels to the ancestral soil and made us held our heads high in dignity. In this hour of grief and sorrow we pray to our Almighty God to bless solace and comfort to the bereaved family and relatives. We shall be in mourning till another Senkalong is born amongst us. May the Almighty God Rest His Soul In Peace!” Merangkong Medemsanger Putu added.
