
Kohima, December 18 (MExN): Merhulietsa colony in Kohima celebrated pre-Christmas with Pastor Sentisashi Aier delivering the Christmas message at its colony taxi parking junction on December 17 night. Pastor Sentisashi spoke on how Jesus was born and came to this world with the purpose to save the sinners, informed a press release received here. He reminded that though Jesus was the son of God, born in a humble manger without proper place and cloth, Christmas became very important historic event showing the love of Christ for the humanity. The pastor further challenged the gathering with a strong Christmas message to love, to forgive and live according to God’s will in life. He maintained that when any one is in Christ and have right relationship with God in life, he/she will be a different person. The celebration also witnessed numbers of Christmas songs from Angami church, Ao Baptist Church youth, Sumi Baptist Church, Sumi SABCK Merhulietsa fellowship and Nagamese fellowship. The programme was led by Ketu Viluo, invocation prayer proposed by Alito V. Swu Women pastor SABCK, Christmas greetings delivered by secretary Merhulietsa Colony Panchayat, scripture reading by Meribeni Humtsoe, vote of thanks was tendered by president, Merhulietsa Youth Organization. There was also a solo competition where Vikoneino Medoze bagged the first prize, Chietonü Hibo, Neisevinuo Khezhie and Marüphro bagged second, third and fourth prizes respectively.
