DC Wokha informs
Wokha, August 25 (DIPR): In pursuance of the District Planning & Development Board meet held on June 2011, the following areas of Wokha Town are declared as “Clean Zone” NST to PWD colony and Traffic Point to PWD via Tsumang Lake. The general public of Wokha Town and the public of the mentioned locality are directed to adhere to the following guidelines. Disposal of garbage’s in the garbage bin; to maintain the drainage properly; Waste water to be connected to the drainage and spillage of water on the road should be immediately stopped, clear foliage and weeds on the road side and side drains periodically. He further informed that, awards to the cleanest colony will be given.
Tagore’s 150th Birth Anniversary
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The 150th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was celebrated from August 13 to 15 at Wakching organised by Nyuyoung Maoh Women Society in coordination with NEZCC Dimapur.
The programme was graced by W. Chingang, general manager, District Industrial Centre, Mon as the chief guest with resource persons including Jibu P Auto, Weching Konyak, S Yongyu and Chingyah. On the final day singing, speech and speech competitions were held where the chief guest was Manhom, BDO Wakching. It as participated by St John School, Kengpang School, Government High School, JNV School and WBC youth. This was stated in a press release issued by chairman of Nyuyoung Maoh Women Society.
WSBAK meeting on Aug 27
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The Western Sumi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (WSBAK) has informed that there will be a meeting for the planning board, finance committee & convenors on August 27, 2011 at Akuvuto Mission Centre at 10:30 am. A press note issued by Rev. Ikutio Jimo, youth secretary, WSBAK stated that the forthcoming 27th Annual Session cum Triennial Conference of NBCC will be hosted from October 21 to 23, 2011 by WSBAK Youth Department. All the concern members are requested to attend the meetings without fail.
D’Block Panchayat meeting
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): All the Youth Members of D. Block and Panchayat executive members are informed that there ill be an emergency meeting on August 27, 2011 at 8:00 am in the Block Community Hall for youth office bearer’s election. Emlotokujo Union Dmr meeting
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): A general meeting will be held at the residence of Hukato Chishi at Thahekhu Village on August 27, 2011 at 1:00 pm. A press note issued by Hukato Chishi, president and Kanito K Chishi, secretary, Emlotokujo Union, Dimapur informed all the office bearers, advisors and also its unit president/secretary along with five of its members to attend the meting.
ATMA Kiphire conducts training
Kiphire, August 25 (MExN): ATMA Kiphire on August 18 conducted training and demonstration at Kiyezhe village under Sitimi Block. The topics covered were weed & water management; integrated pest management and demonstration on the importance of ecological control and its importance in rice field. The resource persons were Dr Akashe Zhimomi, dy PD and Hukai Zhimomi, dy PD. On August 19, farmer training on package of practices on kholar and demonstration of biofertilizer usage was conducted for Kiphire block farmers where Akila Rothrong, AO II and Dr. Akashe Zhimomi were the resource persons. Earlier, ATMA Kiphire organised exhibition on August 15 where SHG/CIG and farmers displayed various products. Participant farmer groups were given incentive.
Xuivi Baptist Church dedication service
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The dedication service of Xuivi Baptist Church Platinum Jubilee Memorial building will be held on September 3, 2011 at Lhomithi Village, Dimapur at 9:00 am. Therefore, all the members of the planning committee, and all the in-laws are cordially invited to attend the service. This was informed in a press note issued by K.
