FGN Sumi Region notifies

Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): According to a press note issued by the Federal Government of Nagaland, Sumi Region Midan Peyu, Vikihe Zhimo one ‘V. Attoka Zhimomi who claims himself to be Midan Peyu, Sumi Region, FGN’ is actively issuing note and collecting house tax and ration tax at Aqhahuto Area. The note stated that ‘V. Attoka Zhimomi’s claim is factious and does not belong to their fold.’ Therefore, all the general public and business establishment are once again reminded not to entertain the so called Midan Peyu, V. Attoka Zhimomi.”

Meeting on 33% Reservation held

Kohima, April 18 (DIPR): A meeting in connection with the proposal for holding Municipal Election and Town Election viz a viz 33% Reservation of seat for women was held on April 18 at the DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima. The meeting was attended by Dr. Shürhozelie, Minister for Urban Development, Norman, Putsero Secretary Urban Development, Deputy Commissioner Kohima Bei-u Angami, Angami Public Organization, Chakhesang Public Organization, Kohima Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Angami Women Organization, Chakhesang Women Organization and Convenor Advisory Body to the Administrator KMC.
 
Monitoring committee constituted

Kohima, April 18 (DIPR): In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 31 of the Cigarette and other Tobacco Products Act 2003 the DC Kohima, Bei-u Angami has notified (Prohibition of Advertisement and Regulation of Trade and Consumer Production Supply and Distribution) Rules 2004. In pursuance of the Section 5 of COTPA 2003 (Banned on all forms of direct and indirect Advertisement of Tobacco Products) a monitoring committee has been constituted under the Chairmanship of the DC. This committee will take cognisance sou moto or look into specific violation under Section 5 of the Act. The committee shall also evaluate cases related to direct or indirect advertisement and promotion. Monitoring committee members are Deputy Commissioner as Chairman and other members include KMC representatives, KCCIs representatives, AYO and AWO, District Nodal Officer and (TCP) as Member Secretary.
