ANCSU meet on May 13
Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): 2nd Consultative meeting of All Nagaland College Students Union (ANCSU) will be held in its office on May 13, 2011 at 11:30 am to discuss about upcoming ANCSU general conference and also other agenda relating to student activities. A press note issued by Vilhousielie, ANCSU speaker requested all the Union Executive, Assembly Secretariat and Tribunals to attend the said meeting without fail.

Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): The Dimapur Youth Coordination Committee (DDYCC) has requested all the village, unit and sub-unit colonies and sector youth organisation within Dimapur to send at least 20 youths for the seminar cum general meeting organised by Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) on May 13. The DDYCC secretary Aneiba in a press release has requested the same to submit the detail name list at YAN office or to contact DDYCC officials at 8575313894, 9862458577 and 9615625714 on or before May 11.
FTS convocation prog on May 12
Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The Faith Theological Seminary, Kohima will hold a convocation programme on May 12 at 1:00 PM at its chapel Hall, near Government Higher Secondary School playground. Beiu Angami, Deputy Commissioner Kohima will be the chief guest while Rev. Moa Longchari will be the resource person.
Mass social work in Mkg town today
Mokokchung, May 10 (DIPR): There will be a mass social work on May 10 in Mokokchung town starting from 6:00 a.m onward. In this regard, the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Lithrongla G. Chishi has informed all Head of Departments/Ward Authorities to organize social work in their respective offices and wards on the occasion. The DC further directed all the Heads of Offices/Controlling Officers to take attendance in their respective establishment. For supervision of the public, respective Ward Chairman were directed to take responsibility for effective social work. Mokokchung Municipal Council has also been instructed to provide necessary machineries for waste disposal.
UBCA NEI 4th Foundation Day on May 12
Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): The United Baptist Churches Association, NEI, 4th Foundation Day Programme will be held on May 12 from 9:00 am at the United Baptist Church Balijan, near LRC Dimapur with Rev Dr Khehovi Shohe, Regional Director IIM, NEI as guest speaker. The guest exhorter will be N. Jacob Yanthan, SDO (Agri) in the programme. Therefore, all the UBCA officials and all the United Baptist Churches delegates are requested to attend the programme positively. This was informed in a press release issued by Rev. L Hevuto Awomi, executive secretary, UBCA NEI.

Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): The office of the Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) has asked J. K Mech to appear in person to the Association office for proceeding the case which is lying under the Association on May 14 at 11:00 am as J. K Mech has failed to turn up in the first notice. YAN president Solomon L Awomi in a press release while issuing the summoning notice has asked the concerned person to comply with this notice, failing which the Association will take necessary action and cease the mortgage land of Mech colony at Nagarjan Dimapur. The Association has also informed all the party(ies) involved (loaners) to attend the same positively.
Adhoc graduate teachers informs
Kohima, May 10 (MExN): All the 40 adhoc graduate teachers (completed 5 years as on 16.01-2004) have been informed that the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland will be conducting the suitability test for regularization of service on May 17 at 9:00 AM in the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland Kohima even as they had missed the Suitability Test conducted in ATI during July 2005. In this connection, all concerned have been directed to contact the team leader through mobile No. 9436608459 for further information. Cases of absentees shall not be entertained on any ground, a release received here said.

Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The prisons department has applied for the registration of the Prisons Service Association Nagaland. Stating this in a notice received here, the home department invited the public and/or associations to raise any claims and objections for the registration of the said service association. The claims and objections may be submitted to Meilemla Pongener, secretary to the Government of Nagaland within 30 days of the publication.
IRCSN visits cyclone victims at Khonoma
Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): A team of Indian Red Cross Society, Nagaland State Branch visited the victims of the cyclonic storm at Khonoma Village on May 3, 2011 where 66 houses were destroyed and provided relief materials to the affected. A press note stated that the team was led by Zakie Kire, General Secretary, IRCSN and accompanied by Kholie Dolf, M.C Member IRCSN, Aja Zinyü, Project Co-ordinator, ICRC and Nyimtseno Pienyü, UDA, IRCSN.
KAOF meeting on May 28
Kohima, May 10 (DIPR): The annual general meeting of the Kohima Ao Officers Forum (KAOF) is scheduled to be held on May 28 at the residence of its Treasurer, Alemtemshi Jamir, Addl. Chief Secretary and Development Commissioner Nagaland. In this regard, the President of the forum, Imkonglemba, IAS has informed all the Ao Gazetted Officers posted in Kohima to attend the meeting compulsorily. Further all the sub-committees were also informed to finalise their recommendations/reports to be presented during the meeting.
Kohima DPDB to felicitate merit student
Kohima, May 10 (DIPR): The Kohima District Planning & Development Board will be felicitating Sanjay K. Kinimi, s/o Khutovi of Government High School, Chunlikha for securing highest aggregate marks in the HSLC Examination 2011 amongst the GHS/GHSS under Kohima district. The DPDB–cum-felicitation programme shall be held on May 16 at 12:30 p.m in the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima. In this context, all the DPDB members, Principal of the School and parents of the successful candidates have been requested to attend the programme positively.
KRK condemns murder
Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The Khonoma Rüffüno, Khonoma (KRK) has condemned the inhuman and brutal murder of Vilieto Pier of Khonoma village at Thekrejuma village on May 7 last. The KRK urged upon the law enforcing authority to book immediately those involved in the murder case and deal with befitting punishment as per the law of the land.

Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): The United Baptist Churches Association (UBCA) Kothakuthi mission centre Goalpara Assam in being sponsored by United Revival Fellowship Mission Dimapur since 20 years and has been affiliated to Assam Baptist Convention (ABC) annual conference Napuk Baptist Church Sibsagore district of Assam on May 7. As per the house approval of the house which was submitted by ABC Executive Committee, UBCA Kothakuthi mission centre will be the 6th Association under ABC Assam. The URF Mission incharge and the Board members in a press release issued by the incharge N. Khekiye Aye acknowledged Roy Chowudary, general secretary, president and the executive members of ABC.
