DIMAPUR, OcTOBER 6 (MExN): MGM College held its annual Sales Day, themed “Mastery in the Making,” which provided a vibrant platform for students to explore their creativity and develop entrepreneurial skills. This event aimed to nurture essential qualities in future leaders, including innovation, business acumen, and collaboration.
The program was chaired by Kulungoi Tetseo, Head of the Economics Department, who commended the initiative and encouraged students to fully embrace the opportunity to showcase their talents. The event began with an opening prayer led by Ahikali I Jakha, Head of the English Department, which set a positive tone for the day’s activities.
Dr. Vili G. Kibami, the college’s IQAC Coordinator, delivered a keynote speech, stressing the importance of craft and creativity in education. He urged students to draw inspiration from their cultural heritage, noting the self-sufficiency of their ancestors, who relied on their resourcefulness and craftsmanship. His words resonated with the students, instilling a renewed appreciation for skills development.
Students from all seven departments participated, setting up booths to display and sell handmade items, each showcasing unique skills and creativity. Beyond functioning as a marketplace, the event served as a hands-on learning experience where students practiced entrepreneurship, marketing, and business management.
