Dimapur, November 21 (MExN): MGM Hr Sec School, Dimapur conducted its Annual Sports and Games from November 18 to 21. The inaugural ceremony was held at the Sewak Grounds, Midland Dimapur on November 19.
KV Nagraja Kumar, Chief Engineer, Project Sewak was the guest of honour. The invocation pronounced by Caroline Ozukum with welcome speech by Principal, Reji Abraham.
KV Nagaraja Kumar while addressing the students and teachers told the students that participation in sports activities not only keeps one fit and healthy, but helps in overall personality development and growth as an individual. He said that in today’s world where most people are spending too much time on social media, he recommended that one must select a sport as a hobby and try to play regularly. He encouraged the children to participate in the games with sports man spirit.
In the presidential address, Fr Giju George encouraged students to engage in physical activity to develop a healthy mind and body.
Earlier the guest of honour hoisted the school Flag and received Salute from March Past contingents. The inaugural ceremony concluded with Drill Display by the primary students.
During the Four days of Sports events competitions in different disciplines like races, football, Volleyball, Basketball, Badminton, Tug of War, shot put etc.
