
Dimapur, May 18 (MExN): The MGM Higher Secondary School (HSS) Dimapur conducted an orientation seminar for the parents of newly admitted students to Class 11.
According to information from the school's Media Cell, the seminar was conducted stream-wise on two different days. The first seminar was organised for the parents of Arts stream students on May 16 while the second was organised on May 17 for the parents of students of Commerce and Science streams.
The first seminar was hosted by Akatoli, welcome note was delivered by Manju Mathew and vote of thanks was given by Biswajit Paul.
The second seminar was hosted by Madhumita Nath, while welcome address was given by Sudha Kumari and vote of thanks was delivered by Renji Thomas.
Principal Reji Abraham briefed the parents on different challenges and opportunities the students are going to experience in the school in the next two years. He explained about the learning requirements and academic pressure students may experience during their new journey and advised the parents to be responsible, caring, and understanding to their wards which are essential for them to excel and face each challenging situations with confidence.
He also assured the parents that the school would leave no stone unturned in their pursuit to mould the future of their children.
He encouraged parents to develop the habit of maintaining good relationship with the school and particularly with the teachers so as to enable the students to be more serious and disciplined in their studies and other activities.
Rev. Fr. Giju George, Vice President of the school, thanked all the parents for trusting the school for their children’s higher secondary education. He briefly explained to the parents about the background and history of the school. He also encouraged parents to understand the importance for their children to develop good character and personality.
