Kohima: The Ministry of Rural development, Government of India and Department of Rural Development, Government of Nagaland is organizing MGNREGA convergence workshop and training on operational guidelines & revised schedule from May 7 to 10 at Rural Development Directorate Conference Hall Kohima. The inaugural function will start at 10:00 AM. V. Sakhrie, commissioner & secretary RD will chair the function. Chief Secretary Banuo Z. Jamir will give opening remarks.
The inaugural function will witness paper presentation -1 on an overview of the implementation of MGNREGA in the state of Nagaland from rural development, Nagaland, paper presentation II by Sandeep Tambe special secretary RD department, Government of Sikkim, speech and presentation by Aparajita Sarangi, IAS, joint secretary (RE-II), MGNREGA, MoRD.
Remarks will be also given by Nilay Ranjan, consultant, MoRD, GoI, D.K. Singh, deputy secretary, MoRD, GoI. Vote of thanks will be proposed by Limasenla Jamir, director SIRD, Nagaland. Day 2 (May 8) programme will be marked by interactive workshop on MGNREGA operational guidelines & revised schedules.
