Mhomo Ngullie and Vikhuli Achumi, both from Dimapur were adjudged winners of Group Round of Naga Chef Season 6 held at Mhacha Ki, Kohima under the aegis of Synergy Group Enterprise and supported by Nagaland State Government.
Paired together they served various Naga cuisines to special guests whose voting declared them the winner on Saturday’s night.
Dennis Suohu and Lipok Longkumer were adjudged runners up.
The four of them have also qualified for the entrepreneurial round, which will be held at Hornbill Festival of Nagaland at Kisama from December 1 to 9 and the final declaration of the Naga Chef 2018.
As winners of the Group Round following the intense competition in the elimination rounds held since November 19 with eight contestants, Mhomo Ngullie and Vikhuli Achumi received Rs 25,000 each as start up amount for the final contest.
Dennis Suohu and Lipok Longkumer also got Rs 20,000 each.
Rovi Chase, Joel Basumatari and Alemjungla Jamir were the judges of the event.
Meanwhile, Abu Metha delivering short speech lauded the efforts of Synergy Group Enterprise for taking the Naga cuisine to a new height.
He said that people visiting the state desires to have Naga food, which gives them the taste of Naga culture.
Exhorting the contestants, he emphasized on the need for opening of more Naga cuisine restaurants in other parts of the country and beyond.
