Kohima, September 23 (MExN): Model Higher Secondary School (MHSS) on September 21 held ‘Student of the Year Award’ function, sponsored by Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) Kohima at the School Auditorium. The awards were presented to the toppers of Class 5 – 10 by S. Khaling Branch manager LIC Kohima, stated a press release.
In his brief speech, the branch manager exhorted the student to have a vision in life as they are fortunate to be physically and mentally fit. He said the LIC is a premier financial institution that is concerned about the future of students and urged them to think about their security and insurance for future prospects.
Nenchulo Woch highlighted on the LIC students of the Year Award that has been organised for the last 5 – 6 years in Nagaland. LIC is celebrating its diamond Jubilee this year.
He said, “Winners are those who do common things in uncommon way.” A slide show was also screened highlighting the importance of insurance. The school music club presented a special number. Welcome address was delivered by Administrator Easter and vote of thanks was pronounced by Athihrii, the School Vice-Principal.
