Mon, July 4 (MExN): The Mopong Hongkong Students’ Union (MHSU) held its Mid-Term Meeting on July 3 at Ukha village in Mon district, attended by presidents and secretaries of eight affiliated federating units, along with village elders and leaders from respective villages under Mopong Circle.
The Union announced that the 40th edition of its annual sports meet cum literary events and federal assembly will be held from January 6 to 14, 2026, at Ukha village, Mon. A cultural day will be held as part of the events to preserve cultural identity.
In a significant decision, the MHSU, with the consent of its federating units, approved the participation of the Angchen Village Students’ Union. However, formal affiliation will be ratified during the 40th Federal Assembly in January 2026, stated an update from the MHSU.
The Union also resolved to continue inspections of sub-centres, primary health centres and schools across Mopong Circle.
The house has also formed a committee as “education Committee’ comprising of the following members- M Moba- Convenor; Echi A – Secretary; Y Lhamnyei, President, MHSU – Member; All the SMC Chairman.
