“This Is For My Girls,” a supergroup track from first lady Michelle Obama’s Let Girls Learn and #62MillionGirls initiatives, took over the No. 1 slot on the real-time Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 Wednesday (March 16), becoming the most shared and discussed track on the platform hours after its midnight ET release. The Trending 140 chart measures the acceleration of conversation around artists and their music, while the Emerging Artists chart measures the volume of tweets around new artists and their songs. The all-star anthem features a powerhouse collective: Kelly Clarkson, Missy Elliott, Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, Lea Michele, Janelle Monae, Jadagrace and Chloe & Halle all join forces for the single, which was written by Diane Warren. "It's kind of like 'We Are the World' meets 'Lady Marmalade' with these strong voices and strong women," Warren told Billboard in an exclusive interview soon after the song reached radio outlets on Tuesday.
