Midland Council Kohima announces new team

New team of Midland Council Kohima with others on May 13

Kohima, May 17 (MExN): The new team of the Midland Council (Ward-9), Kohima for the tenure 2026–2031 was announced on May 13.

The new office bearers include Menuokholie Kire as chairman, Khrielezo Vitsu and Neilese Peki as vice chairmen, and Thejazelie Tase as general secretary. Keviletuo Ngukha and Saliezotuo Meru were appointed as joint secretaries, while Kekhrieo Solo will serve as treasurer.

Other members of the team include Khoto Ngukha as property secretary, Vihu Meyase as finance secretary, and Kethokhrieto Vimera as information and publicity secretary. Advisors are Kopelo Krome, Medovilhou Kire and Tsao Paphino.

The council also named Neikhonyii Sote, Kekhrietuo Ngukha and Obed Kent as GBs.

Judiciary board members are Veswupoi Theyo, Thejasievi Kerhuo, Zhavotso Ltu and all sector GBs. Sani Metha was named convenor of the sanitation committee, while Lhouvisalie Jano will serve as sanitation treasurer.

Sector members include Victor Rutsa and Dziesetuolie Mezhier for the upper sector, Asongba Peter and Kezhanguto Ngukha for the middle sector, and Neichiituolie Sophie, Madi Koso and Arietuo Kesiezie for the lower sector.

The audit committee comprises Vikepelhou Rutsa, Victor Sogotsu and Kikovizo Tase. Members of the Development Board are Atou Liezietsu, Zhasar Nihu, Medotso Tase, Viboto Tase and Viphrezo Zao, with the chairman serving as ex-officio.

The SMD Committee members are Vikronyu Ltu and Avizo Makritsu.

Earlier, the handing and taking over programme of the new and outgoing office bearers was held at the Midland Community Building on May 13.

The programme was chaired by outgoing chairman Kopelo Krome, while outgoing general secretary Toso Thaprii presented the secretary’s report. The audit report was presented by Kekhwezo Tara and the search committee report by Viphrezo Zao.

Neisalie Rossi, pastor of MBCK, invoked God’s blessing while the vote of thanks was delivered by outgoing vice chairman Tsao Paphino.
