Dimapur, May 28 (MExN): PHED Rural Division Dimapur in collaboration with Highland Hall Higher Secondary School observed Menstrual Hygiene Day under the theme “Together for a Period Friendly World” on May 28.
A press release received here stated that Imojungla Longkumer, District Coordinator PHED Dimapur spoke on normalizing conversations around menstruation, adopt sustainable products, and advocate for responsible waste disposal. Linoka Zhimomi, IEC Consultant PHED Rural Dimapur administered the Menstrual Hygiene Day pledge.
The key highlight of the programme was the demonstration of the mini incinerator by Er Kugha H Chishi, JE, PHED, Kuhuboto. The mini incinerator was later handed over to the school in the presence of the school administrator Kezhaleno Angami and Principal Narayan Das for safe sanitary waste disposal in the school premises.
