DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 16 (MExN): G Kaito Aye, Minister for Road and Bridges, Government of Nagaland, inaugurated the newly constructed Sukhai Village Council Panchayat Bhavan on December 16. The event took place in Sukhai village under the centrally sponsored Scheme of Revamped Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) 2023-24, implemented by the RD Block, Satakha.
During the inaugural function, Minister Kaito highlighted the significance of Village Council Halls in promoting effective administration, conducting public meetings, and managing village affairs efficiently. He emphasized the state's commitment to grassroots infrastructural development and praised the village community for their collaboration with government agencies in achieving this milestone.
“Village Council Halls are essential for the smooth functioning of administrative processes at the village level,” stated Minister Kaito. “Their establishment plays a crucial role in empowering local governance and community participation.”
The Minister expressed gratitude to the Department of Rural Development, Nagaland, for prioritizing rural infrastructure development. He also spoke about the integration of tribal areas in infrastructure development initiatives under the Prime Minister's Tribal Affairs initiatives, ensuring that tribal communities benefit from enhanced facilities.
Additionally, Kaito Aye outlined upcoming projects, including the construction of intermediate roads from Zhekiye to Satoi block, with the Satakha to Vishepu road expected to be blacktopped within eight months. He assured continued development, including the construction of the Vishepu to Phek inter-district road.
Highlighting the importance of quality education, the Minister urged the village community to focus on primary schools, supporting state efforts to rationalize government schools for better education outcomes. He stressed the importance of community involvement in development efforts for a better quality of life.
