Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs, FGN responds to Zhopra Vero's claims

DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 27 (MExN): The Ministry of Rali Wali Affairs, FGN, issued a rejoinder today to clarify the recent statement made by Zhopra Vero, which appeared in the media on November 21.

The statement addressed an incident surrounding the Emergency Tatar Hoho convened on October 22, 2024, at Sanglao, Eastern Oking. According to the Ministry, the meeting was called by the Kedahge/President of the NNC/FGN to effect a minor reshuffle. However, Zhopra Vero allegedly conspired to undermine this official meeting by organizing an unsanctioned gathering. Despite having no provisions under the Yehzabo of NNC/FGN, Vero declared himself as the acting-President on October 21, 2024, and subsequently elected himself as President the following day.

In response to this unauthorized move, the legitimate government of NNC/FGN was compelled to initiate constitutional proceedings against Vero. As per the provisions of the Yehzabo, he was impeached from the position of Kedallo/Vice President on October 22, 2024.

Vero was also removed from both active and primary membership in the government and recalled as co-convener representing the W/C, NNPGs on behalf of the NNC/FGN.

The NNC/FGN also clarified that P. Puthai Lam was duly nominated as the new Co-convener of W/C, NNPGs in the Emergency National Tatar Hoho held on October 22. This decision was formally endorsed in a meeting held by the W/C, NNPGs on October 30, 2024, where Resolution No. 1 recognized Puthai Lam as the legitimate Co-convener representing the NNC/FGN led by Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya. Consequently, Zhopra Vero’s self-assertion as Co-convener was declared invalid.

The Ministry emphasized that Vero’s actions, including his self-election to the presidency and his dictatorial conduct, had not only endangered the integrity of the NNC/FGN but also threatened the stability of the W/C, NNPGs on various situations. The NNC/FGN expressed shock at Vero’s unconstitutional attempt to usurp the presidential office and reiterated that such moves would not be tolerated.

The NNC/FGN has advised Zhopra Vero to cease his actions that tarnish the image of both the NNC/FGN and the NNPGs platform. It also warned of legal action against any individuals following Vero's directives in activities such as fundraising, donation solicitation, or tax collection under the NNC/FGN banner.
