Phek (MExN): Several organisations have demanded expulsion of the entire household of Sitaram of Phek district. Sitaram’s son Tulsi reportedly committed the crime of rape on a minor girl about 2 and half years old named Lakhsmi and daughter of Utim. The incident is said to have occurred at Phek recently.

It is reported that Tulsi was with the minor and a couple of adult relatives on October 30. But without even bothering about them, he raped the minor child who actually was his own maternal cousin and thus committing incest too. His brutish and beastly crime has even ruptured the innocent minor’s uterus, which was confirmed by the medical report.

The Phek Area Mothers’ Association, Phek Town Women Welfare Society, Phek District GBs Association, Phek Town Youth Club and Phek Town Chakhesang Students’ Union in a joint memorandum addressed to Phek Deputy Commissioner alleged that the accused and his entire family has been a menace by disturbing the harmony of the town indulging in numerous counts of theft, housebreaking, cheating, incest and rape.

“The very existence and domicile of each and every one of their family members here at Phek pose a perilous future particularly (for) our young generation and women at large,” it said. The NGOs representing all walks of life resolved to evict, expel and exile all the members of the family out of Phek district on or before November 30.

The organisations also appealed to Phek DC to assist them in deporting them and also sounded caution to the people of other districts in Nagaland by telling them to not harbour any of Tulsi’s family members.

“They, themselves shall be held responsible for any consequences if they are found anywhere in Phek district after the ultimatum date,” the memo concluded.
