Reigning Miss Mokokchung, Ayusangla Jamir along with Mokokchung Arts & Aesthetic Management (MAAM) initiated a tree plantation drive today. The first sapling, a jasmine, was planted by Ayusangla along with Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel IAS at the official DC’s Bungalow premises.
Ayusangla on conducting the drive said, “I feel each one of us has a moral obligation towards our environment. It is high time that all of us realize the importance of protecting our world because we only have one and our survival depends on it.” She also conveyed to the young people that it is their duty and role to “live and act responsibly caring about our future and the environment.” She further challenged the people to practice eco-friendly habits.
