DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 19 (MExN): Flight Lieutenant Nokdempong Jamir who went missing from an Indian Air Force training camp in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, has been traced on Wednesday at Seling village Mizoram some 40 Kilometers from Aizwal.
The air force officer is believed to be under the detention of the Mizoram Police at Bawngkawm police station. Family members have confirmed that the 26-year-old IAF officer called up his father in Nagaland on Thursday. Jamir’s Uncle, Wati, said over phone that Nokdempong just called up his father and said that he was safe and that he was calling from Aizawl before the line got disconnected. Police investigators have confirmed the phone calls were made from Aizwal,” an aunt of the missing officer said.
