Missing Naga youth found in Gurugram

A youth from Nagaland, who was reported missing in Gurugram (formerly Gurgaon), Haryana has been found. The youth, Vangba Kubonghu Phom (25 years) went missing on July 20 last from the Sikanderpur area of Gurgaon, Haryana.


According to the Delhi Easter Nagaland Students’ Union (DENSU), he was found by police personnel at the Huda City Metro Station, Gurugram on the evening of July 29. He was reportedly recognized by an off duty cop. 


He was later handed over to the DENSU and the Naga Students’ Union, Delhi, who took him to the Nagaland House, Delhi. 
At the time he was found, he was said to be in a poor condition having gone without food for days. He was said to be recuperating well at the Nagaland House. 


The police were still to take his statement pending recovery from hunger and exhaustion.  The DENSU had filed a missing FIR at the DLF-I Police Station, Gurugram on July 22. Two persons, who were in possession of Vangba’s missing phone, were subsequently arrested.
