Missionshire Cricket Club officials briefing media persons

The Missionshire Cricket Club will be organizing a T10 Cricket Tournament from December 15 to 17 at TM Government Higher Secondary School Ground, Kohima.
Briefing media persons at The Guardian Hotel, Kohima Trade Centre on Sunday, Kikrusetuo Sekhose, convenor of the Tournament said that the tournament under the theme “Fair and Square” will be played in the Ten Over per side format which is the newest and the most exciting format of the game today.
Sekhose also informed that the Tournament will be conducted with the " Cosco Cricket" balls and will be played on a specially prepared concrete pitch.
The champion of the tournament will receive a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 along with a trophy while the runner-up will get Rs 10,000 and a trophy.
There will also be individual prizes.

Viketho Kechii, president of the Missionshire Cricket Club said that the aim of the Mission T10 Cricket tournament is to give platforms to young players to enjoy and learn the game and also build friendships and connect with their common passion.
Kechii added that Cricket today is a lucrative game and it has a lot to offer even at the local levels.
Cricket has become a very good career option even in Nagaland for both boys and girls.
Missionshire Cricket Club on this part has been promoting Cricket and taking initiatives to educate younger people as well as the public to take the game seriously.
The President also informed that the Missionshire Cricket Club will be celebrating its Silver Jubilee in 2025.
To approach the big milestone, the Club would be gearing up to organize events relating to Cricket, which would include conducting tournaments, coaching camps, sensitization programmes etc.
