Dimapur, October 23 (MExN): The recent ‘misunderstanding’ within the NSCN (Reformation) organisation has been “resolved amicably and put to rest keeping in mind the interest of the Nagas and the inevitable political situation.”

“The news reports carried in various mass media indicating tendency of split within NSCN (R) remains nullified and bears no credibility,” a statement from the Media Cell, Working Committee, Naga National Political Groups (WC, NNPGs) informed on Saturday. The statement was attested by NSCN (R) President Wangtin Naga, Vice-President Akato Chophi and Ato Kilonser P Tikhak.

According to the statement, the matter was resolved due to the intervention of N Kitovi Zhimomi, Convenor of WC, NNPGs and other NNPGs leaders. “The three top leaders of the NSCN (R) shall once again work together cohesively with due consultation with each other and shall continue to strengthen the NNPGs till the achievement of our final goal,” it maintained.

It also noted that “some elements with ulterior motives” have been instigating the collective leaders for their ‘vested interests,’ and cautioned such elements to immediately desist from further nefarious and divisive activities.
