MITE celebrates 9th foundation day

DIMAPUR, MARCH 2 (MExN): The Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) celebrated their 9th foundation-cum-cultural day on March 2. 

The special guest for the event was B Nellayappan, Assistant Director, Directorate of School Education. During his speech, the Assistant Director nformed that directives would be given to Government Middle School and Government High School for B.Ed internship. He also proposed to have a discussion with the Principals of all B.Ed Colleges in Nagaland to have a common format for internship. During the entire session of both formal and informal, various items were also performed. 

The significance of Foundation Day was shared by Dr. Devanand Sinha, Principal MITE. He also requested the special guest to help the college in improving through financial support by the government. The programme was also witnessed by the Managing Director of MITE, along with the Chairperson, A. Kaisa Mao, wife of late Hekha Mao, the founder of MITE.

Meanwhile, the students and teachers performed a drama based on the impacts of technology. The programme ended with a closing prayer by Khekavi Kiny.
