Kohima, October 12 (MExN): The Regional Employment Exchange (Model Career Centre), Nagaland conducted an awareness programme on the duties and functions of Regional Employment Exchange at REE, Kohima on October 12.
A total of 42 student-teachers from Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE), Kohima participated in that programme which was initiated by Kovi Meyase, Director, DESDE and conducted by Regional Employment Office, Nagaland.
A lecture on duties, functions and responsibilities of the Regional Employment Exchange (Model Career Centre) such as creating awareness on EECNN Act, 1959, the responsibilities of job seekers and job providers, Coaching Cum Guidance Centre for ST/SC, Self Employment opportunities and Model Career Centre (MCC) and Persons with Disability Cell was delivered by Regional Employment Officer, Zuthunglo Ezung.
A presentation by the Employment Officer, John Anar showed a step-by-step procedure of registration on the employment portal and the benefits of the same. Dr TS Pandian moderated an interactive session moderated.
