Mizoram records 4th COVID related death on Sunday

The total number of death tally related to COVID-19 in Mizoram rose to four on Sunday after one 34 years old man died at Zoram Medical College (ZMC) in Aizawl.

According to the Health department regarding the latest death case, the man, a resident of Aizawl, was tested positive for COVID-19 on October 27. Initially he complaint of diarrhoea and was rushed to Synod Hospital at Durtlang in the state capital. He was tested positive for COVID-19 in that hospital. He was also diagnosed for diabetes, according to the Health department.

He was diagnosed with Covid-19 and was found having diabetes on October 27.  

As the man's condition got worse, he was shifted to ZMC and was kept in the ICU. He succumbed to his illnesses in the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

Meanwhile, the state detected 25 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. With this, the tally of the disease in Mizoram has risen to 3393 on Sunday.

According to the Health department, 21 fresh cases of COVID-19 were detected from Aizawl district, 2 from Lawngtlai district and one each from Lunglei district and Serchhip district.

The department source then said the state has 534 active cases of COVID-19 at the moment. This update means that 2855 cases of COVID-19 in Mizoram got recovered.

On Sunday, altogether 35 cases of COVID-19 were discharged from various hospitals in the state after they got recovered from the disease.
