Mokokchung, July 18 (DIPR): One day workshop for Fair Price Shop dealers of Mokokchung town was held at ADC Planning Conference Hall on July 16.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS said that the objective of the workshop is to have an open interaction between the dealers and all the related authorities concerned to streamline the Public Distribution System while implementing the various schemes in the district. He also highlighted on the National Food Security Act 2013.
Presenting a report on the various schemes implemented under Targeted Public Distribution System (TPDS), Inspector, Food & Civil Supplies Mokokchung, Ekoni highlighted various schemes under TPDS, eligibility criteria for issue of ration card, commodities covered and the distribution system.
Additional Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, Vigilance Committee, Mokokchung Bendanglila while presenting the vigilance report, stated that strict measures are taken to ensure proper implementation of the guidelines by the Fair Price dealers.
The workshop was attended by Fair Price Dealers, Administrative Officials, Officials from Food& Civil Supplies, Department, Metrological Department and All ward union of Mokokchung town.
