Mokokchung: Br. MSME-DI, Dimapur and the District Industries Centre, Government of Nagaland, Mokokchung in association with the Chamber of Commerce & Industries, Mokokchung is organizing a three-day national level vendor development programme-cum-exhibition from February 25 to 27 at Mokokchung.
The exhibition will be held at MSME-PAVILION –2014, Imkongmeren Memorial Sport complex, Mokokchung from10:00 am to 5:00 pm, in which public sector undertakings units and large Industries and MSEs will be displaying their products. More than 500 purchase managers, executives from different organizations, various bankers, consultants and experts are expected to visit the exhibition.
The special focus will be made on handicrafts (for household, hotels, offices, parties), engineering goods, facilities and services for bamboo works, machinery, food industry, automobile, wooden products, plastic products, metallic products, handloom products, lighting and allied products, automobile industries and renewable energy products, etc.
Some of the objectives are that the programme would act as a platform for interaction among the buyers and sellers; provide opportunities to the existing and new entrepreneurs for diversification and development of new products and enhance opportunities for marketing.
It aims to showcase the competencies of SMEs as well as the needs of large, central/state government departments, defense, railways, public sector undertakings, corporations, for products & components of agro based enterprise, food processing enterprises, wood curving enterprises, handicraft enterprises, hand loom enterprises, mineral based enterprises, machinery & equipments manufacturing enterprises, electrical and allied products enterprises, solar lightings manufacturers, energy saving systems, software control of lights and computers, automobile & lighting products, plastic based enterprises, leather and rexine based enterprises and IT related enterprises etc.

Director in charge Tali Longchar in a press release stated that the vision of the NLVDP is to create an excellent platform for public and Private sectors, Buyers & Sellers of PSUs and MSEs Sector, Exhibitors and investors and supporting organizations’ to forge linkage, in addition, to also promote progressive Agriculture Development by showcasing agriculture & allied products, MSEs products ,thereby promoting trade and investment opportunities for the North East States.
