Mokokchung: Launching programme of National Youth Policy and Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan will be held with a youth rally on March 6 at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, from 8:30 am at Mokokchung. The youth and students will take out rally after the launching from Imkongmeren Sports Complex to Main Police Point, Mokokchung and continue the rally to their respective schools.
Centre has approved introduction of National Youth Policy, 2014 (NYP-2014) for all round development and empowerment of the youth. Further, the Government has approved implementation of Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan, (RGKA) for providing all necessary infrastructure and facilities for promotion of sports in the country.
To create awareness about these path breaking initiatives, the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports (M0YAS) GOI has decided to formally launch both NYP-2014 and RGKA, Nation-wide, in all the 623 having Nehru Yuva Kendras (NYKs) and through NSS in 299 Universities running NSS programme district headquarters across the Country.
