Mokokchung, December 4 (MExN): A strong contingent of more than 170 athletes and officials from ten disciplines representing Mokokchung district will be participating in the 1st Nagaland Olympic Games 2017’ which is scheduled to be held from December 12-16, 2017.
The decision to send the strong contingent was resolved at the Mokokchung District Sports Council (MDSC) meeting which was chaired by Mokokchung DC, Sachin Jaiswal IAS, who is also the president of the MDSC, informed L Alemtemsu Longkumer, Vice-president of MDSC & Chief-de-Mission.
He further informed that ‘though with limited time and resource constraints, preparations are on, to represent the district with one of the largest sports contingent ever, with more than 170 athletes officials to compete in 10 disciplines’. The contingent would be leaving on the 11th of December, he further added.
