DIMAPUR, APRIL 11 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association (MDTTA) on Saturday 9th April dedicated four new TT Boards at a brief dedication program. The new board, according to the Association was donated by Alemtemshi IAS, Dev. Com. & Addl. Chief Secretary during the last Inter District Tournament held at Mokokchung in Oct 2010. However, it was said that the boards could not reach on time and could not be used during the tournament; nevertheless the Association added that the four new boards will now become assets of the Association which will go a long way in promoting the game of Table Tennis and for which the Association has expressed their profound gratefulness to the leader for his gesture. The dedicatory prayer was offered by Lima, Pastor Kumlong Baptist Church. The Pastor before his prayer said some words of encouragements wherein he stressed the need for Naga youngsters to excel in the fields of games and sports. The Pastor also regretted how Nagaland has performed poorly in the recently concluded National games and added that sports should now be taken seriously and should be made into an industry. He also added that with the help of God, all these things can be made possible. He also wished the association success in their endeavours to promote the game of Table Tennis. Meanwhile, the Vice President of Mokokchung District Sports Council L. Alemtemsu Ao also attended the program and gave a brief speech. In his speech, he lauded the MDTTA for their efforts in organizing 3-4 tournaments in a calendar year. He also extended his appreciation on behalf of the Sports Council to Alemtemshi
