MLA Bangtick Phom along with the district administrators and Phom Peoples’ Council (PPC) inspect the proposed new EAC Hq site at Yonglok area on November 7.
Longleng, November 9 (MExN): MLA Bangtick Phom along with the district administration, police department, District Land Record & Survey Department and Phom Peoples’ Council (PPC) on November 7 inspected the proposed new site at Yonglok area.
In a update received here, it stated that a brief coordination meeting with the village councils of Namsang area was also held at Yonglok Police Station.
During the meeting, MLA Phom expressed his appreciation to the villages of Namsang area for accepting and allowing the government to shift present EAC Headquarters Kongshong to new site at Yonglok for the benefits of the people of border areas.
He also called upon the public of the area to extend full cooperation and all support to the government for setting up of EAC Headquarters at new site at the earliest.
He expressed hope that the EAC Headquarters at the new site would promote peace and tranquility in the area and cater all round development which will benefit the community in large extend.
The inspection team also visited the site for the proposed establishment of Special Border Response Force (SBRF) at Shetap village.
