TUENSANG, FEBRUARY 3 (MExN): The construction of a link road connecting Yali and Noksen villages in Tuensang, funded by the Special Assistance to State for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme, was officially inaugurated on February 3 by MLA Lima Onen Chang.
In his remarks, Chang expressed his gratitude to the Chief Minister of Nagaland for supporting the development of the Noksen Constituency, particularly Yali and Noksen villages, through the SASCI project. He highlighted the significance of the road construction in improving basic amenities and strengthening connections between neighbouring villages.
According to a DIPR report, Chang also emphasized the importance of truth, urging the gathering to resist bribery and misjudgments. He stressed that such infrastructure projects would help bring prosperity to the area and called for unity among the people to achieve collective progress.
During the ceremony, Shokomong, Chairman of the Yali Village Council, and Sandong Chang, President of Yali Mutlie Thangjam, Tuensang, also delivered short speeches, expressing their appreciation for the project and the positive impact it would have on the community.
The new road is expected to improve access, facilitate better transportation, and open up new opportunities for economic growth in the region.
