Mon, February 1 (DIPR): MLA & Chairman NKVIB & DPDB, Mon N. Thongwang Konyak, representative of 46 A/C, Mon town inspected renovation of roads in Mon town on February 1. Repairing of roads, construction of drainage, culvert and retaining wall is going on within the town under Urban Development department, sponsored by the Government of India.
Interacting with the contractor during the inspection, Thongwang urged him for quality construction under the scheme. He also directed the contractor to cover the entire existing road within the town by widening the blacktopping from corner to corner without leaving any space for encroachment of roads. He also assured the contractor of providing machineries and manpower if required to ensure quality roads in the town.
The MLA also appealed to the people of Mon to extend cooperation and support to the contractor and at the same time appealed to the leaders of the town to assist the contractor in whatever way they can for early completion of the project.
