MLAs creating political turmoil for personal gain: KDCC

Kohima, July 18 (MExN): The Kohima District Congress Committee (KDCC) has expressed strong resentment and deep concern at the present imbroglio in the state and accused the ruling MLAs of creating a political turmoil for their “personal gain”.

A press release from the KDCC while stating that it has no interest in the internal matters of the NPF party, maintained that it cannot remain a mute spectator while citizens of the state suffer and governance has been affected.

Instead of attending to the sufferings of the people even as the heavy monsoon washed away un-motorable roads and landslides destroying paddy and properties, the ruling MLAs being absent in the state shows they have no interest for the welfare of the Naga people “but to create political turmoil in our state in order to hang on to power for their personal gain”, the KDCC maintained.

The KDCC also condemned the burning down of vehicles near Hotel Vivor in Kohima by unknown miscreants and urged the concern agency to book the culprit at the earliest.

KDCC further welcomed the termination of MKR Pillai service as consultant to PHQ and at the same time demanded a CBI probe to bring the issue to its logical conclusion.

“In the light of the above statement, a fresh mandate is the only option left before the people of Nagaland,” the KDCC maintained and appealed the public to judiciously use their precious vote to elect leaders in the future.
