Mleinyi Festival & art exhibition in Jalukie

Jalukie, March 8 (MExN): Changers’ League is organizing Mleinyi Festival and state level art exhibition with the motto: "Culture regeneration" on March 11, 10:00 am at Jalukie Town Hall in collaboration with Art & Culture Department, Govt. of Nagaland and NEZCC in commemoration of 50th year of Nagaland statehood. Raitu Elu, president, Zeme Council Northeast India will grace the festival as chief guest.

The program organizers in a press release have invited all public to come and participate and experience “the thrilling moments of traditional and cultural reminiscence of our endearing olden lifestyle.” The release informed that Mleinyi is a festival of purification signified by making new fire with pure and fresh bamboos. “Unpleasant as it may when misused, fire is important to man.  It purifies and regenerates. The same goes with art in our life. Culture is molded and kept alive through the arts.”
