Chümoukedima, May 3 (MExN): The Department of Counselling & Psychology, Mount Mary College (MMC) Chümoukedima and Institute of Psychology Counselling and Educational Research (IPCER) collaborated with Brainwonders Dimapur to organise a seminar on “Career Guidance & Choice” on April 30. 

The seminar, meant for students of Class 9 and above, had IPCER’s Director of Counselling & Psychology, Dr Nukshi Esther Imsong as resource person, and she highlighted different career opportunities which students can take up.

She also stressed on the importance of knowing oneself, discovering one’s passion as well as choosing the right career option from a young age, a press release informed. 

Apart from earning basic salaries, one can always have interest and balance one’s profession, Dr Imsong noted, saying that  an IAS officer simultaneously can still carry on inner skills of singing or playing musical.

A team from Brainwonders Dimapur highlighted their works and functions to the students and told the students that that it was largest career counselling company in India. 

It conducts DMIT (Dermatoglyphics Multiple Intelligence Test) which could help children from a very young age to identify their inherent talent or inner skills and chose their career choice and focus, the release said.

Students from schools such as Godwin HSS, Brother and Sisters School Chümoukedima, MMHSS, among others, attended the seminar.
