Mokokchung, September 25 (MExN): The Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC) will conduct its annual dog registration and vaccination drive for the year 2025-26 on September 26 and 27, according to a circular issued by ADC & Chief Executive Officer of MMC, Atsungba Walling.
The drive is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services and the AWUM, stated the circular.
The registration and renewal process will commence from 8:00 AM at respective wards, which have been asked to arrange necessary facilities and assign two persons to assist the veterinary team. Respective wards chairman will sign the registration card for renewal.
As discussed in the meeting regarding the dog tags, it has been noted that many pet owners are not using the tag properly, hence a new dog tag will be issued from the office freely for this year and for those who have misplaced/lost the same can be obtained from the office on cash payment. However, those who have lost their tags or are registering anew must collect a replacement from the MMC office on or before September 25, on payment of a fee.
The registration, renewal, vaccination, and utilisation charges will remain as usual.
Schedule for the drive is as follows:
• September 26: Salangtem, Alempang, Alongmen, Sangtemla, Arkong, Penli, Dilong Tongdentsuyong and Sungkomen.
• September 27: Yimyu, Lijabalijen, Mongaenbai, Kumlong, Kichutip, Aongza, Merepkong, Majalikong and Arrang.
