MNF participates in ‘State funeral’ of Swu

DIMAPUR, JULY 1 (NNN): Meetei National Front (MNF) participated in the "state funeral" of NSCN Chairman Isak Chishi Swu at Camp Hebron on Friday. The MNF was represented by its president Chingsubam Wangambi Leima and the organisation advisor N Tomba. His Highness Leishemba Sanajaoba, the titular king of Manipur also conveyed his condolence message. The message of the titular king was read out by MNF advisor N Tomba at the funeral service. Two "Leirum Phee" (traditional shawl), each by MNFand the titular king, were presented to honour the late Naga leader. It can be noted here that MNF is one organisation struggling to promote the ties between the hills and the valley communities in Manipur. It was founded by Ojha Chingsubam Akaba Meetei in 1974.
