Mokokchung, April 30 (MExN): Hectic preparation is underway for the Moatsü celebration at Imkongmeren Sports Complex, Mokokchung, which will be graced by the former Chief Minister of Nagaland and present Governor of Odisha, Dr SC Jamir as the chief guest.
A press release informed that the Moatsü celebration is being organized by Jangpetkong Senso Telongjem (Jangpetkong Citizens’ Union), Mokokchung Town.
MLA (Chairman DAN & NBRM) Dr Longrineken will grace the function as the guest of honor.
An elaborate Moatsu festival programme has been chalked out by the JST to celebrate the premier festival of the Ao community. Besides the traditional songs and dances to be presented by cultural troupes from different villages under Jangpetkong range, there will be a Moatsü essay and painting competition, a raffle draw and a grand Moatsu feast.
The planning committee of the JST, Mokokchung Town Moatsu festival has extended invitation to all the citizens of Jangpetkong range, in-laws and well-wishers to join in the grand celebration.
