Dear Naga Brethren, "God bless Nagaland", land of plenty, land of rich biodiversity with immense consummative, productive, aesthetic and moral and ethical values.
Today the 22nd April 2012, as the World commemorates the 42nd anniversary of the Earth Day, I acknowledge the people of Nagaland that our land is restored with enormous hidden treasures which we may use them judiciously for our present needs and conserve and preserve for sustainable future. In addition to this Nagaland is a blessed state protected from any natural calamity but I would like to indicate to you all that the risks are impending if we don't protect the nature and the environment at this moment of time.
This year, as the World celebrates the 42nd anniversary of the Earth Day 2012 with a theme "Mobilize the Earth" the Green-SONS is mobilizing the people of Nagaland just to say one thing, the Earth won't wait. It seems that environmental issues have been put on the back burner as we are in the midst of global recession. It is time for us to mobilize our state in particular and the Earth as a whole and speaks with one voice, one message.
On this 42nd Anniversary of Earth Day 2012, people are becoming frustrated with the failure of the Government to take appropriate steps towards protecting and preserving the environment. The Earth day 2012 campaign is designed to provide people with the opportunity to unite their voices in a call for sustainable future and direct them towards quantifiable outcomes. Let us all come forward together for the cause of saving the Earth from further more deterioration from our activities.
Kuknalim!
